Hoffman family: Tepui's 2018 Year of Endless Adventure finalist

Team name: Team Dafugahwee

Participants: Hoffman family: Sierra, Kyle, Tea, Danielle, Jason

2018 Road trip details: After a trip across British Columbia from West to East on dirt roads and jeep trails a few summers ago, we wanted to go further north next time. We read an article about a new Inuvik to Tuk road. The road, which opens to non-local, non-commercial traffic in June 2018, links the towns of Inuvik and Tuktoyaktuk (AKA Tuk) on a former winter only ice road. Tuk is a small village perched on the Arctic Ocean and is now accessible via the Dempster Highway which starts in the Yukon Territory, near Alaska and heads northeast across the Arctic Circle. We wanted to do a trip that would take us to wild and remote places seldom traveled. This one fits the bill.

Can't leave home without:

Favorite tune to listen to on the open road:

Kyle - Sedona by Hound Mouth

Kyle - Zany sense of humor / Camera Hog / Driver/Jester

Téa - Infectious Happiness / scaled a 1000 foot technical roc climb at the age of 8 / Glue for the team

Danielle - Getting Sh*t Done / Once drove the land rover into a ditch to let faster traffic pass / backbone of the team

Jason - strangely humorous bad luck / Once trapped in a cabin with a bear / Cook/Mr. Fixit/Entertainment in the spirit of Clark Griswold from Christmas Vacation

Koda the Malamute - finding used toilet paper / Once ate a Mountain Beaver whole / Bear Deterrent

A perfect trip would include these three items:
